Hi, Phyllis, One recommendation if you have the opportunity to go to the area is the wealth of resources available at the Museum at the Columbus-Belmont Battlefield State Park. Some information is on public display, other information is in storage. A number of years ago there was a lady named Lucille Bryars Owings that researched this area during that period and kept numerous scrapbooks which were once available at the museum. I don't know if her materials are still available or perhaps she donated them to the Hickman Co. Historical Scoiety. Do other JP researchers know?
