Hi Everyone, In my great grandfather's journal, on the date Sunday, Sept. 3, 1865, his entry reads, "We went to a singing at New hope Church thare was sevril from this neighborhood. Mis Lynn and Mr. Young and his wife and Bety Shelton and Mr. Garnet was thare. I went home with Betty Shelton an we all went to Garnets to Dinner We then went to singing at Ditney Hill. I stayed all Night at Mr. Lynns its bin very warm to Day." Does anyone know where Ditney Hill is located? I am guessing it would be near the New Hope Church. Or near the home of a Garnet Family (any kin out there?) However, I do not know where they are either. Thanks in advance for any helpful advice and information.
