    1. [KYJP-L] Calloway County Vital Statistics Records - Deaths - 1878 - Part 3
    2. Bill Utterback
    3. My friends - Today, we will continue with the short series on Calloway County Vital Statistics death records for 1878. We will finish this series with tomorrow's data posting. If you see a name in the list below which relates to your JP research, and would like the full set of data for that person(which generally includes the date of death, sex of the deceased, if not obvious, where born, age at death, names of parents and birthplaces of parents), please let me know and I will get that information out to you. As always, your help in not resending this entire message back to me with your request is greatly appreciated. I feel the need to take just a quick moment to remind all of us that the JP List is dedicated to the history and genealogy of the families of the 8 KY Jackson Purchase counties(Ballard, Carlisle, Calloway, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Marshall and McCracken). We do not cover other western KY counties, such as Caldwell, Christian or Trigg, nor do we get overly involved, except in passing in mentioning a family who resided primarily in the KY JP region, with TN counties, such as Stewart, Henry, Weakley, Gibson and Obion counties. These counties and locales have their own lists. Because of the large amount of back and forth traffic between the border counties of the KY and TN JP regions, there is some overlap, and I do occasionally post data on the TN border counties, but it is a rarity. Finally, there has been a "flare-up" of discussion, on some other lists, in the past few days, about which computer genealogy program is the best, and which vendors give the best service, etc., and such discussions can become very heated. Those subjects are completely off-topic for the JP List, as are virus warnings and discussions about current political and religious issues. We'll finish the 1878 Calloway deaths tomorrow, as I said above, and end the week with either another in the "Tips" series, or perhaps another Skills Puzzler. -B +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Calloway County - Vital Statistics Records - Deaths - 1878 - Part 3 [Age shown after name] [M=Male F=Female] Manning, Mary D., 21 Austin, K.A., 13 (F) Marshall, Maud S., 2 mos Taber, S.E., 5 mos (M) Swift, Cora E., 9 Brewer, M.E., 3 (F) Jones, Gus A., 6 Adams, Kittie, 60 Peler, Wm R., 6 Erwin, Mary, 4 Stewart, Mary J., 36 Smotherman, E.J., 42 (F) Jones, Thomas R., 74 Atkins, Emily F., 25 Hutchens, Emma, 2 Fare, Jane, 23 Cain, Parilee, 32 Thornton, Polly, 70 Jackson, Rachel, 70 Whitnell, Robert, 81 Osborn, Ida B., 8 Fair, Julian, 11 Brandon, G.C., 10 (M) Lamb, Martin V., 47 Lamb, Jesse V., 16 Moore, Jane, 45 Ryan, Susie, 1 Wilson, Hattie M., 6 mos Moore, Susan M., 50 Craig, Victor E., 6 weeks Nichols, Wm, 15 Hensley, Joab, 83 Slaughter, B.H., 8 mos (M) ~to be continued~ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
