Sorry about the incomplete letter.I 've a 19 month granddaughter in my lap so don't fuss about caps she likes that button. To complete my letter on Grigsby family, Mary Elizabeth Stum was b. 11/2/1852 to ? Stum and ?Unsell. In an note I've a possible name for her father: 'Lem Preston". I do know he was in the Civil War don't know which side. They had four children Mary mar. Horace Grigsby, Martha mar. a Rawlings, James mar. ? and George ( born after their father came home from the CV War & author of "THOSE WICKLIFFE BOYS"knew where he was buried. Their mother died shortly after he was born. A 'Doctor Scott' and wife took in this family (does anyone know of a connection of Scott family and any of my names) and helped raise this family. I don't know if he was a medical doctor or named DOCTOR, I had an UNCLE DOCTOR SCOTT GRIGSBY named for him.. I talked with Glen Dixon ( he did Unsell research) a lot and he thought that the two Unsell brothers that mar. two Dewesse sisters that a I find on the DAWES COMMISSION 1896 REPORT may be in my family, a picture of GRANDMOTHER UNSELL has a NATIVE AMERICAN look. AND one of the grandmothers was disowned when she married one of these grandfathers, my Grannie Coleman did not remember which! ---Also--- on the 1850 census for McCracken CO. there is a Thomas A Brown at house 204, and there is a Lilly family living at 339 and I think my gr gr grandfather living at 340. Dose anyone know of a connections? My family live to be old age in their 90's and their families had large families, I can get everyone in TX documented but very little history survived a house fire. ANY help is welcome! Sorry about the length but someone asked for all I knew. My mother has a suitcase of information I am trying to sort , if I find more I will send it. Unsell m. Stum 1850's? Lilly m. Grigsby 1850's? Stum m. Grigsby 1870's? Grigsby m. Coleman 1910 TX. all others are in KY I think.---Alicia
