For some time now, I have been researching the marriage of JOHN COOK of Graves Co., KY to MARGARET DITTERLINE. Over the years descendants of this line has been told that he married in Pennsylvania where Margaret was born. John Ditterline Know all men by these presents that we JOHN COOK and WILLIAM DITTERLINE am held and firmly bound unto the Commonser attls. of Kentucky in the just and full sum of fifty pounds current money to the payent of which we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators. The condition of the above Obligation is such that whereas there ia a marriage shortly to be had and solemized between the above bound John Cook and Margaret Ditterline now of. IT shall ___was hereafter appear that there is no just cause to Obstruct said marriage then the above Obligation to be void Otherwise to remain in full force and virtue this 9th day of August 1814.
