My friends - I am dropping by today to let you know that I have now finished coverting the old Wordstar text file containing the burials in the New Concord Cemetery in Calloway County. This is a fairly large cemetery, with about 400 burials. It has burials for individuals with birth dates in the late 1700's, and I get requests about burials in this cemetery frequently. There are many well known and "popular" surnames in this cemetery. The surnames contained in this cemetery are: Acree, Atkins, Allbritten, Armstrong, Bailey, Barnett, Baucum, Baugh, Bibb, Boyle, Brandon, braswell, Boze, Brown, Bucy, Burton, Byerly, Champion, Chrisman, Coleman, Colley, Cook, Cooper, Darnell, Dick, Dugger, Duke, Dunn, Eastwood, Edwards, Elkins, Ferguson, Fielder, Forrest, Garner, Gregory, Guerrant, Hamlin, Hatfield, Hendon, Henry, Hicks, Hood, Housden, Hutchens, Jackson, Jewell, Kindred, Kline, Knight, Lassiter, Lauris, Lawson, Lax, Lee, Locke, Logan, Lovins, Mallory, Marberry, Marr, McCuiston(numerous), McIntosh, Meador, Michaux, Miller, Montgomery(numerous),Morris, Morton, Moss, Nance, Osborn, Owen, Parham, Patterson, Perry, Pruitt, Risenhoover, Rose, Rowlett(numerous), Saunders, Shackleford, Skaggs, Smith, Spiceland, Stephenson, Strader, Stubblefield(very numerous),Swann, Taylor, Thurman, Turner, Underwood, Valentine, Venable, Wall, Waters, Wesson, West, Wheatley, Willis, Wilson, Winchester(numerous), Wray, and Wyatt. If you would like to have copy of this file, please let me know and I will forward it to you. I will send it as a plain text attachment to an e-mail unless you specify that you need it by *straight* e-mail. You will receive the complete file, as time constraints will not allow me to go into the file and extract data about individual surnames. I'll be back later with the solution to the latest Skills Puzzler. -B ============================================================
