MAYFIELD MESSENGER Mayfield, KY February 13, 1934 ____________________ Reuben R. Cope, 92, Died on N. Eighth Reuben R. Cope, 92 years of age, one of the oldest residents of Graves County, died at 6:50 o'clock this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alfred Jordan, North Eighth Street. Death resulted from an illness of complications. He was admitted to a local hospital for treatment last Saturday and discharged Sunday. Funeral services will be held at Mount Zion Church at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with Rev. W. D. Daugherty in charge. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Cope is survived by his widow, Mrs. Melvina Carlisle Cope, and five sons, Jim, John, Claude, Henry and George Cope. He was a native of Marshall County, but had resided in Graves County for many years. He was a Union soldier during the War Between the States.
