Hi Ballard Co. researchers, I am looking for information on a James N. Dennie b. 1836 TN who m. Mahelany/Mirahellena Deweese abt. 1856 and had at least 2 children: Mary E. b. 1857 Ky and Charles W. b. 1859 Ky I believe this James was James Denny b. in Obion Co., TN and fought for the Confederacy returning shortly before its surrender. Does anyone have any information on this family? I am in need of a marriage confirmation--does anyone have Ballard Co. Marriages 1852-1878 to check for this marriage abt. 1856? Does anyone have Dr. J.S. Seay's Registry of Births in Ballard Co., KY to see if any more children are born to James and Mahelany? I also wonder if there might be a Confederate pension application.
