My friends - On the matter of when census records are released: The law on this matter states that each decenniel census may be released for public use 72 years after the year in which it was taken. Therefore, the 1930 census will be released to the public in 2002. This *does* result in a census being released every ten years, but not on the ten year "mark" in relationship to the census years(e.g., 1920 released 1992, 1930 released 2002, not in 1990 or in 2000, respectively).
