My friends - In the past six years, I have occasionally posted obituaries and death notices from *The Bible Advocate*, which was primarily published in St.Louis, but had its beginnings in Henry County, TN. They printed notices of deaths in KY, when they received them from their subscribers. These are primary death notices, and not obituaries, but there is often some family information given. Although we generally restrict postings to this List to the 8 counties of the JP region, I am going to post today all of the pertinent deaths from that publication in the 1843 to 1849 time frame, since I recognize many of the surnames from notices for counties outside the JP as being the same as family surnames within the JP region. A few of these are for MO deaths, but the person who died was born or lived in KY prior to removing to MO. Some of these notices are rather lengthy, some are not. What I will show below is the name of the deceased, where and when the death occurred, and perhaps some other information which might help identify the individual more easily. If you see a family member shown below, and would like to have the entire notice, send a message to me by private e-mail and I will provide the text of the complete notice. On another note, our good friend Greg Miller pointed out to me that Capt. J.N.Bolen was a publisher, along with a man named Sinclair, of the Murray Gazette in the year 1875, at the time the paper folded. I omitted that in my newspaper posting earlier this week. -B +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Obituaries & Death Notices - *The Bible Advocate* Rose, Elizabeth, age 77, Floyd's Fork, KY, wife of John Rose, Revolutionary War soldier Died 22 Sept 1848 Tribble, Dudley, age 29, Platt Co., MO., grandson of Andrew Tribble of western KY.
