On the 1910 census one of the questions asked was if you were a veteran of the union or confederate army or navy. The answer was given in a number not words. does anyone know what the numbers mean. I suspect that the person I am researching may have served in the confederate military, but no proof. His answer to the question was recorded as the number 9. Does anyone know how to decipher these codes, or know where to look it up? So far I have not been able to find info on this anywhere. Thanks in Advance for any help! Catherine
