Opps! sorry. The question was what kind of business was J.W. Lockwood @ 311 Kentucky Ave, Paducah KY, in the year 1937. The person who assisted me had a city directory for the year 1947, and indicated the address was a DRESS SHOP. He also checked the 1947 directory for my relative by name: Neville Corneal Outland. He lived at 2400 Kentucky Ave The directory indicated his occupation was Carpenter. He had a partner named Joseph Carlton. I don't know if my Neville worked at a dress shop in 1937 and then was a carpenter in 1947, or if the business @ 311 Kentucky Ave changed from 1937 to 1947. I'm glad you invited me to share, I missed their part of the response that said it was a dress shop, and found it when I rechecked it to compose this response. Merilee
