He was married to my grandmother, Tilda Combs. Prior to being married to Tilda he was married to Alice Ross Harvey. I have been told that Alice died six days after giving birth to her last child. He was born in February of 1927. They had five children, Grant, Ida Mae, Fern Marie, Clyde and Ellen. Alice had three daughters, Nannie, Vergie and Cordia from a marriage before Bill.
