She was born in Jackson County, Ky., the daughter of Pleas and Susie (Hisle) Evans. Helen was a teacher who was involved in the Warren County Head Start program in Franklin for 37 years. She is survived by her husband, Vernon; her children, James K. Centers and his wife, Debbie, of Franklin, and Tammy R. Hollbrook and her husband, Kenny, of Franklin; four grandchildren; her parents; her brother Elmer Evans and his wife, Betty, of Franklin; and her sisters, Diana Elliot and her husband, Gary, of Carlisle, Addie Broughton of Hamilton, and Ada Brewer and her husband, Thomas, of Franklin. Helen was preceded in death by her sisters, Dolores Evans, Vicky Evans and Myrtle Frank, and a brother, Edward Evans. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Eaton Anderson Unglesby Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
