Hello everyone, I am researching the Rose family. Our oldest known ancestor is Nathaniel Rose who was born abt. 1775 in VA. At sometime he married Esther Dorton. Esther's ancestors are not known. Nathaniel first appears on the 1816 Estill County Tax list and disappears abt. 1826. Esther is 81 and living with her son John in Jackson Co on the 1860 Jackson Co. census. Does anyone know anything about this family and where they might be buried? Appreciate any help offered. Sandra
