    3. The Forbish (Forbes, etc) family of early Clay/Rockcastle and later of Laurel/Jackson Co KY and the McCammon family were connected 'by marriage' and the McCammon family was connected to the Chestnut/Cathers families 'by marriage'. My George W Henson (married to Anna Forbish, daughter of 'William Forbish') of Laurel Co KY is connected to these early Kentucky families. See George Henson in the 1828 Laurel Co KY Tax List and 1850 Laurel Co KY Census in the household of John Drew and 'Ibby'. The son of Rev War Vet John Forbis (Forbes, etc) of Clay/Rockcastle/Laurel Co KY had a son 'William Forbish' who married Sarah McCammon on Dec 02, 1808 Clay Co KY (consent given by William McCammon, Sarah's father). Sarah McCammon is a daughter of William McCammon and Anna Cathers ... Anna McCammon's brother, William McCammon, married Patience Chestnut on Dec 02, 1808 Clay Co KY. I noticed that a Thomas Chestnut who owned land on the Rockcastle River, married Rebecca Parker (daughter of a John Parker) on Jan 27, 1841 Clay Co KY. Thomas Chestnut lived next to John Drew who lived on property close to a 'McCammon Fork' off of 'Laurel Fork' in Laurel Co KY. Does anybody have any additional information on these early families mentioned and does anybody know the person that 'McCammon Fork' was named after. Thanks to everyone reading this and for sharing any information on these early families and for answering any of these questions. 'R.E.' Hinson Jr, direct descendant of Rev War Vet John Forbis (Forbes, etc) and George W Henson/Anna Forbish-Henson of Laurel Co KY.
