    3. I must agree with Shelby. I regret I have been unable to do research in the new Library, but the service at the old one was wonderful. We have had similar experience with our Kansas State library. There were a number of problems after it first moved into its new home, but most were resolved as things settled down. We are very fortunate in that they do maintain an excellent speaker team (some are volunteer) with a mired of topics covering contents, services, research, etc. They are available (sometimes at some expense) to speak at both local and state society meetings and the Library holds frequent workshops. WE the members can often make a big difference with our physical support. Things are getting tough financially all over - so we may need to consider how much - and to what extent we are willing to give MONEY, as well as time, until such time as things get straightened out. Let us do ALL we can do to prevent what is happening in Oklahoma, Florida and other places. Once these wonderful research centers are lost they will NOT return in our lifetime and perhaps never.
