Hi Ken: Glad to know the difference between the ladies names, and that you have verified your own grandparents. (sounds normal :) Any way. Since My husband's cousin is married to an Isaacs, and her own mother was an Isaacs, I had a lot of "fun?" gathering her info. I have since turned it over to them. I got "hooked" on this in 1985 and I guess it is my drug of choice. We do know the relationship of Shelly and Linda Isaacs to ourselves (family) Don't believe more than one Shelley and Linda had a son Turner born same time. (Possible, but not probable.) My father-in-law found about Turner and introduced himself as his half-uncle. Linda was my father-in-law's half-sister. Turner and my father-in-law have since died, but his wife, I assume still lives north of us) They had no children. I forgot to check out Turner's siblings names in the 1930 census, but I will, with our Shelley's obit. I thought my family was bad at intermarrying with same lines, but I guess it was common. Thank you for your reply. Good hunting! Marlene
Hi Marlene; Thanks for the reply re: Creech/Isaacs connection. I have received two more items on the same. My "Census" reference to ShellEy may have just been a misspelling; the Jackson County marriage records, Book 23, page 28, lists William Shelly Isaacs & Lindy Ellen Creech as being married March 4,1920; so it appears your hubby's Aunt Lindy was married to my Great Uncle Shelly! Welcome to the extended family! I put out an inquiry for info on Linda/Lindy, but if you have access to the data I'd be very grateful. I need her place & date of birth, as well as her place & date of death, to finish that twig on my Bailey/Isaacs/Creech branch. If not, at least another mystery has seemingly been solved.
