Parker, Sr., age 63, a resident of Hamilton, died Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 4:13 p.m. at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on March 25, 1940 the son of Ernest and Grace (Truett) Parker. He attended Fairfield High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. In 1960, he married Patricia Chalfant in Jellico, Tennessee. He was employed as a welder at Mosler Safe Company for twenty-two years, retiring in 1986. He was an avid sports fan of Fairfield and New Miami High Schools and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, Thomas A. Parker, Jr. and wife Julia and Tim Parker and wife, Carolyn; a daughter, Tamara Brown and husband, Harold all of Butler County; eight grandchildren, Eric, Tony and Brandon Parker, Timmy, Tabby, David and Faith Parker and Josh Brown; three sisters, Juanita Hess, Stuart, Florida, Verena Blevins, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Sharon Haverland, Fairfield and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Eldon Parker and sister, Wilma Parker. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd. with Rev. Ballard Blount, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
