Hazel Marie Lockard, age 89, of Fairborn OH, formerly of West Carrollton (OH). passed away February 10, 2006 at the Patriot Ridge Commnity. She was born January 5, 1917 in Jackson County KY, the daughter of the late William H. and Martha E. (McCary) Pennington. She was a member of the W. Carrollton Church of the Nazarene. Preceded in death by her husband James Lockard in 2001, 2 sons. David E. Wallen in 1957 and Larry D. Smith in 2004, 2 brothers, Rev Floyd Pennington and Lloyd Pennington and a sister Ruby Lucas. Survivors incldue 3 sons, William A. Smith and wife Donna L. of Springfield OH, James M. Wallen and wife Sandy of FL, and Christopher E. Wallen and wife Darlene of GA, 3 daughters, Carol Sharp and husband Arville of Fairborn, Linda Norton and husband Andy, Brenda Bystrek and husband Tony, all of GA, her brother Donald Pennington, her sister Nora Jackson, both of Miamisburg OH, 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, other relativ! es and friends. Funeral services will be conducted February 15, 2006 at 11am at the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene, 550 S. Elm Street, West Carrollton OH. Pastor Doug Vannest officiating. Burial Hillgrove Cemetery. The family will receive friends February 14, 2006 6-8pm at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
