There we located the record to which you refer. We also found the 1829 Tax Records that listed Obediah Ross and Nehemiah Ross right next to each other. While it may be possible that Michael is the same person as Nehemiah, we find only one other reference to him as such. That is the death certificate of his daughter Martha Dupree Ross Bennett. It states that the name of her father was "Mike Ross." You are probably aware, but I thought I would mention that Obediah Ross is listed in the 1850 mortality schedule. His widow was Sarah (Berry) Ross. Both had been widowed and had children prior to their marriage.
