From "The Jackson County Sun", May 20, 1971 Carl Isaacs, 65, died at 1:45 May 12, 1971, in Patty A Clay hospital after undergoing an operation. he was a resident of New Zion, Ky. Born September 30, 1905, in Jackson county, a son of James S. and Dora Brandenburg Isaacs. he was a farmer and a member of new Zion Baptist Church. married to Virgie Sparks. Survivors; his wife, Virgie Isaacs; four daughters, Evelyan Blackburn, Shirley Gabbard, Loretta Smith and Carolyn York, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son, Alonza Isaacs, Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Martha Slone, Indiana; two brothers, Barbara Isaacs, new Zion, Ky; Lonley Isaacs, Connersville, Ind.; 11 grandchildren. Funeral services 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 14, at justice and Lakes Funeral Chapel, by Rev Frank Wilson. Interment in New Zion Cemetery by Justice and Lakes Funeral home. Pallbearers; Boyd Gabbard, Eair Fee, Rufus Blackburn, Daryl K. Blackburn, Roy Spurlock and Don Neeley.
