Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/5AB.2ACE/2714.2 Message Board Post: I know there are two cemeteries in the Jackson County area with the name Farmer. The one I visit is off Route 30 in Herd. Heading on 421 South turn left on Route 30. You can only turn left here. There is a Gas Station on the corner. Go for about 3 miles and you will pass an old barn of some type. I think it is a flea market. After you pass the barn there is a little red brick house on the right with the name Farmer on the mail box. It seems like you are turning into their driveway but the road also takes you back to the cemetery. It is located on top of a hill. I have some history on the cemetery if you are interested. I hope this helps! Amber

It is about a 1/4 of a mile up the road.Anyone in ther area could help you. Also in the deep curve about a mile down the road to the right from Rte. 30 on 1709( I believe) is the Short Cem.which has a lot of Farmers buried in there near the Mt. Gilead Church. The Preacher I believe is a Farmer. If you travel on weekday the Mckee Library could help you!

    3. I'm on a fishing trip here. I am looking for information on Virginia Carpenter, b January 1887 probably in either Clay or Jackson Counties. She was the daughter of Wiley and Sarah (Walker) Carpenter. She had 4 brothers and 2 sisters; Nancy, John, Pleasant, Elizabeth, Marshall, and James. Virginia supposedly married a Lainhart and they, supposedly, moved to Canada. Any further information on Virginia and her family would be appreciated. Thanks, Roger
