Please help spread the word. The project administrator is Bill Couch and you can find results at his page http://www.couchgenweb.com/ and following the link there. It's being done by Family Search DNA and Univ. of Arizona, a reputable organization. We are very much in need of results from KY Couch families so if you could help spread the word, that would be great! I'm at a brick wall on my line and so far, no matches out of what appears to be two main groups of Couch by dna. I've recently started my own website where you can find what I have so far, url below. I am the genealogist for my family. It appears, however, that I am hitting a brick wall. My name is Peggy Marie Banks (my family calls me Marie). I am the d/o Ray Banks & Peggy Jean Bray. Ray is the s/o Bill Banks & Tilda Combs. I have gone back MANY generations on the Combs side. I am, however, having a great deal of difficulty with the Banks side. I know that Bill was married before Tilda Combs to a gal by the name of Alice Harvey. They had, I believe, five children by the names of Ellen, Fern Marie, Grant, Ida Mae, and Clyde. It is believed that Alice died while giving birth to Grant. Grant was born February 20, 1927. I'm seeking information on both Bill and Alice. You see, my half cousin is wanting to learn more about the Harvey side and we both are wanting to learn more about the Banks side. If there is ANYONE out there that can help us PLEASE feel free to email me directly at [email protected] and we woul! d greatly appreciate anything that you can tell us. The only documentation that we have to link these two individuals is a birth certificate for Grant.

Re: SMITH, FARMER I apologise to all of you who have requested a copy of this obituary in full. It seems that the one I had was accidently thrown away. I have made a request to the nice folks at The Jackson County Sun for a copy from their files. As soon as I have it, I will send a copy to you however you wish. Again, I do apologise . . Sarah P.S. The Jackson County Site has old obituaries in their archive. The Jackson County is is also online: The Jackson County Sun . It is my understanding that as long as they have the spare time and they do not get overloaded with requests, they can find an obituary for you if you know the date.
