IF the divorce was in Hopkins Co it would be recorded in the Circuit Court Clerk's office. The problem with this is that they will not do any lookups or give out any info... the records are public information so you, or anyone else, may visit the clerks office and search for them, but by law the folks in the office cannot even look in the index for you. These records have never been transcribed or microfilmed. The HCGS has been trying to get them filmed by the LDS but so far it hasn't happened. Hope this helps. Bridges and Virginia Francis Bruce Bridges. They were married in Hopkins County, KY in 1882. By 1890, Ginny had remarried a Willis Alley in Webster County. However, William Bridges was still alive and buying/selling land in Crittenden County, KY, where he was raised, in 1903. Their son, James Samuel Bridges, eventually moved to Dunklin County, MO. Any ideas where I might find these divorce papers? Thanks alot.
