I think this is the same Joseph Hopson that appears in the 1840 Ralls Co., Mo census. He isn't in the 1850 Ralls Co., Mo cesus but his wife Nancy is. According to this census she was b. ca 1805 in NC. I know both families lived in Hopkins Co., Ky but have found little information on them.
