How awful to think that someone who loves us could not respect how we've spent such an enormous amount of time and energy. And that they might totally disregard the fount of information gleaned, the friends made and kept, the experiences of many libraries and reference rooms, the absolute sheer enjoyment we receive from this terrific pasttime, hobby, lifework, etc......whatever one chooses to call the work of genealogy.
