    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Duncan,Ray,McGary,Frost,Wilson,Alfred,Yocum Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4AB.2ACE/426.86.1.1.1.1.2.1 Message Board Post: Your Jane __________ Ray was married to Jesse Ray and had a daughter named Mary Jane Ray born 5/10/1822 and died 2/24/1908. This is not the same person who I am searching for - Jesse's step sister Jane Ray Wilson who married Benjamin Wilson in Harrodsburg, KY and inherited 200 acres on the Green River in the Henderson Tract in 1835 from the terms of General James Buntin Ray's will. Your line is decended from General James B. Ray's first wife Amelia "Milly" Yocum or Yokum. He later married my 4 great grandmother Elizabeth Talbot, sister of US Senator Isham Talbott. Hugh McGary had first married General James B. Ray's mother, Elzabeth Buntin who had been married to John Ray or Wray prior to his death. She is listed on a plaque in downtown Harrodsburg, KY as being one of the first four pioneer women in the territory of Kentucky as a settler. After her death, Hugh McGary married General James B. Ray's first wife's sister, Catherine "Catsy" Yocum or Yokum. I am still looking for Ray family members who moved into the Hopkins Co. area and later into IL, Iowa, MO, and Texas with members of my Duncan family, McGary family, Frost family, Yocum family, Alfred (or Alford) family, and Wilson family.
