I don't normally do this but can't resist. We are always looking for that 'special' gift for our friends and families. A few months ago I added "History of Hopkins County" by Maurice K Gordon to the list of books available from the Hopkins County Genealogical Society. I kept meaning to buy it myself but just never seemed to do it... always forgetting it on meeting nights. Last Tuesday I didn't forget. I bought the book and after getting home I found myself reading in bed and having trouble putting the book down until I just couldn't read any longer. If your ancestors were in Hopkins County in the early days of the county, this is one book that you will want to be sure to have in your library. It is fabulous, and gives so many insights into our early ancestors, where they lived [many times in reference to places known today], where they came from, how and where they worshipped and much more. Give this URL to your husband or wife or child or sibling and tell them this is what you want for Christmas this year... or forget them and get it for yourself! You won't regret it. http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyhopkin/hcgs/books.html in the History Books section. Best, nt
