Carlton. Sorry, but my Gideon married Mrs. Nancy Emeline Stokes Price, who was a widow lady in 1881 at Hopkins County, Kentucky and they had one child Sidney Duke Carlton in 1882. I have been tying to find her death date as Gideon married a Miss N. E. South in 1885,. therefore I know Nancy Emeline Stokes Price Carlton must have passed between Nov 1882 and 1885. I know my Grandfather never really knew his mother. He lived in different households until he grew into a man and married and had a family in KY. By the way my Gideon was born in MO as was one of his sisters. Good luck in your research. Iris Stone
