I'm also researching the Townsends/Bales/Farren (Ferrin), Townsend is my Aunt maiden name. Her parents were Henry Townsend b:1896 Joplin, MO.and Edwena Weiglein b: 1901 IN. Henry's parents were Peter Townsend b: Joplin, MO. and Mahala Farren b:IN.?(sp?). Mahala' parents were Isaac Farren and Rachel Bales. That is all I have so far, it's not much. I do have a picture of Rachel Bales and Isaac Farren and will send it via email if you would like.
