I met her and Aunt Mary years ago. I live in California now so it is hard for me to check local KY records. I just hired a Kentucky based geneologist and her first task is to trace the Roy D. Hobgood side of the family. My family does have a copy of the marriage certificate for Roy D.'s father--John B. Hobgood who married Mary Ramsey in Webster County in 1871. We know the witnesses, minister, etc. Based on Uncle Arthur's recollections (he is Mamie's only living brother)--Roy D.'s father died young. We think John B.'s father was Lewis (or Louis) Hobgood--but we are trying to firm up the linkage. If you want to know more or have anything you can add please let me know.
