How do I know? I get all the bounces. Plus I am getting angry e-mail from folks I have never heard of who have received the SPAM with the attached (or embedded) virus. I was even threatened with a lawsuit. UCLA is getting a lot of abuse e-mail, complaining about me. I am using PINE for my e-mail. It is a no-frills UNIX e-mail program which can neither receive nor send attachments. If I have files to send anyone, I am uploading the files and sending the recipient the URL of the file so they can snag it. I have anti-virus protection on my system, download the latest virus definitions at least twice a day, and run a full anti-virus scan of my computer every day. If you receive any message that says it came from me, look at the headers to be sure it really came from me. If it includes an attachment (or is a very large message), it probably did not come from me. Please forward this message to any and all USGenWeb lists, as I am not on many lists.
