In 1880 Hopkins County Census Nancy E. Stokes Price is listed as a widow and lives next door to her sister Mary F. Stokes Hanks who is married to William Hanks. My question is : " Is she the Mrs. N. E. Price who married G. C. (Gideon) Carlton on the 9 Feb 1881, in Hopkins County?" Did they have any more children after having a son? What is her exact death date? I understand that she was the daughter of Gabriel & Christinia Sisk Stokes.

    2. Ralph & Melinda Hult
    3. I 'm looking for a connection between the family of William & Rachel FRANKLIN BURTON and that of Watson LOCKREY. On the 1880 census, John BURTON is listed in the LOCKREY household as a cousin. I believe this John is the son of William & Rachel, but I don't know of a connection to the LOCKREYs. The LOCKREY family is living next door to Gidian (Giddy) BURTON, a known son of William & Rachel. On the other side of Giddy is Leer BURTON, a 17 year old female with an 8 month old son, Edda. She is listed as married, not widowed. Does anyone know to whom she belongs? All of these households are in Fishers Springs.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Germaine,Richards,Masterson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/4AB.2ACE/5080 Message Board Post: A brother William Richards, Kirkwood Springs, Kentucky and a sister Mrs Mary Richards of Pittsburg,Kansas. These people are listed as survivors,in the obituary for my GGgrandmother Clara (Germaine) Masterson...Hess in 1945. I think that Mary is the same Mary Germaine..age 13..boarder..listed w/John Kamper family in the 1880 census for Saint Charles,Hopkins Co. and Clara is in the same neighborhood in Saint Charles also. They are both born in France with parents also of France. I think that William is actually a brother by marriage, abt.1875 between Zachariah and Hortense (Germaine?) Richards who are also in Saint Charles in 1880. I believe that Hortense is the mother of my Clara and also Mary Germaine, Hortense isn't exactly a common name and she is also from France, just like it says on Claras death certificate.Claras biological father is listed as George Germaine (also spelled Germain) George is out of the picture prior to abt 1875 a death or a divorce?....the Germaine family came to the US in 1871and settled in Kentucky. Can any one check Hopkins Co. marriage records to confirm any of these Richards / Germaines ..it seems all my ancestors wanted to double my pleasure....both ends of this ! line were married twice with children from both marriages.HELP Thanks for taking the time, Dave
