Littlepage Sims Sr. is my 6th great grandfather. Littlepage Jr. Sims my 5th, then his daughter Matilda Randolph Sims is my 4th grandmother. Not sure if the indian roots are with the Sim's side or Matilda's mother (Overton) but Matilda was half creek indian and a repected herb doctor. I agree with Joyce, I don't think her Littlepage and our Littlepage is the same family. If you'd like you can email me bamabrrat@aol.com...I have alot of information on Littlepage Sr. Sims.

    3. Sue, I don't believe I can directly answer your question but I remember some notes from a cousin in Crofton which is not far from Earlington. The name "Ling" was used so unsure wether she was referring to a first name or last. This is all that I have. "Lark and Geo Croft - mother Peggy Campbell Crofts - Henson group Uncle Ling children Uncle Ling wife Ling Croft Aunt Leevenil Children Muscoe - Icys Bro - Milton - Crettenden - Grandpa first cousins Roll and Dells father Curt Bud Saxon At this point I'm not clear as to who all these people are. 3. Sue, Don't know if you'd be interested in this or not, V. Peyton is doing reprints of "The Bee". So far, she has released the May 1892 & June 1892 editions. Each edition is five weeks of the paper. It is really great reading for a look back into time in the Earlington & local areas. The reprints are reasonable and she can be reached at paprmoon@yahoo.com So far, I don't remember seeing any reference to a Chinese group, but it's fun reading. Vicki

    3. I just heard tonight that years ago in Earlington, there was a group of Chinese people there. I was told by my mother in law that they melted iron. Maybe that is how one of my husband's uncles was nicknamed China. So I am curious. Does anyone know anything about them? Sue P. Carpenter

The Island is trying to be developed for housing, and the historic site is in jeporady of being destroyed. Dr. David R. Bush, Ph.D has been doing research and is trying to preserve the site. How do I know? I get all the bounces. Plus I am getting angry e-mail from folks I have never heard of who have received the SPAM with the attached (or embedded) virus. I was even threatened with a lawsuit. UCLA is getting a lot of abuse e-mail, complaining about me. I am using PINE for my e-mail. It is a no-frills UNIX e-mail program which can neither receive nor send attachments. If I have files to send anyone, I am uploading the files and sending the recipient the URL of the file so they can snag it. I have anti-virus protection on my system, download the latest virus definitions at least twice a day, and run a full anti-virus scan of my computer every day. If you receive any message that says it came from me, look at the headers to be sure it really came from me. If it includes an attachment (or is a very large message), it probably did not come from me. Please forward this message to any and all USGenWeb lists, as I am not on many lists.
