Dear Listers, I used to be on this list but changed my email address and forgot to re subscribe. I have been badgering the folks on the Trimble Co. list for information about my 2nd great-grandfather, Samuel Pryor. He died in 1833 and is buried in Trimble Co. There was no Trimble in 1833, so Sam was really buried in Henry Co. before it became Trimble. My records (and those of Justice Wm. S. Pryor) show that Sam was sheriff of some county two times. I assumed incorrectly it was Trimble. But it may have been Henry Co. I also suspected that Sam could have been killed while on the job. He had time to write a lengthy will and appoint Wm H. Allen plus his brother, Jack Pryor, as execs. Are there any Henry Co. records for that time period (1825-1833) that would show Sam as sheriff or deputy? Tom whose mother was a Pryor Thomas S.
