The same great service for library reference requests and hourly genealogy research are now available through a secure on-line credit card transaction. http://store.kentucky.gov/kyhs/dept.asp?dept_id=14&parent_id=0 Library reference requests allow users to select from over 20 Kentucky record types, including vital records, births, deaths and marriages, Kentucky city directories, census records, and many more. This service is only $5 per request for Kentucky users; $12 for out-of-state users. More in-depth research, for difficult or large genealogy projects, can be obtained with the hourly staff researcher service. This service is available for $15 per hour to members of the Kentucky Historical Society. Non-members can use the service at a rate of $25 per hour. Requests for copies from the Kentucky Historical Society publications Kentucky Ancestors and The Register of the Kentucky Historical Society can be obtained through this service. Users will receive their requested records or research along with a letter by mail, usually within four to six weeks. Mail requests will still be received.
