Is anyone on the list familiar with the name Kittie Coblin? In the 1880 census of Henry County, KY, she is ennumerated with Wm. Jackson and his wife, Margarett W. Burke Jackson. She is 18 years old and listed as their niece. The handwriting is difficult to make out, and for a long time I thought it said "Goflin" or "Coflin". But then I realized there were Coblins in Henry Co. at the time, and I bet that's what it really says. Does she sound familiar to anyone? I am at a brick wall getting any further back on Wm and Margarett Jackson. Oh, one thing: Kittie is listed as being born in KY, but her parents were born in Ireland. Margarett Burke Jackson also was born in Ireland, in 1834, so I'm assuming Kittie is a daughter of one of Margarett's sisters? Does anyone know of any marriages between a Coblin and a Burke?
