Death certificates for 1911-1952 are available on microfilm at major genealogical libraries across the state including the Kentucky Historical Society. By state law the person must be dead for 50 years before the records are made public. Deaths after 1952 must be ordered from the office of Vital Statistics. Death records are $6. http://chs.ky.gov/publichealth/vital.htm Since Jessie Harlow died in 1985 you must order the certificate from Vital Statistics and pay the fee.
