Elderhostel at the Kentucky Historical Society, October 20 - 25, 2002. There are still openings available. Participants discover the excitement of tracing their Kentucky ancestors through workshops, lectures, and scheduled library research time. They learn about Kentucky culture through field trips to the state Capitol and Governor's Mansion, tours of the Kentucky Historical Society Museum and Kentucky Military History Museum, and a visit to Daniel Boone's grave at the Frankfort Cemetery. Participants will also learn how to preserve their own family's documents and photographs. Housing and meals are in a nearby hotel with most classes and library research held at the new Kentucky History Center. Registration is through Elderhostel-- www.elderhostel.org Pricing is $463 for those with a roommate, or who wish to have a roommate assigned. For those requesting a single room, the price is $588. Does not include travel expenses. If you live nearby or don't need hotel accommodations you can still attend. The price is $175 which includes workshop, lunch and dinner.
