Was he married? Solomon (1792-1874) and Mary Sullinger Jones were my third-great-grandparents. I don't find George directly descended from them; but, I do find several Georges in the line of Solomon's brother Samuel Jones (1795-183) who married Sarah Smith. Samuel & Sarah had a son named George Robert Jones (1834-1913) who married Sarah Ann Nixon. Another son of Samuel and Sarah's was John Sullivan Jones (1818-1868) who married Nancy S. Turner. One of their children was a George A Jones, born 25 Sept 1865, died 10 Jan 1888. He lived in Oskaloosa,Clay Co, Ill. In case you are wondering, here is my Jones descent: 8.
