Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4AB.2ACI/329.1.1.1 Message Board Post: These William Morgans are so confusing! My info shows William who was m to Phoebe was born in VA 1772 and they were living in Daviess Co KY in the 1850 census. My William who married Rachel Feamster was b NC 1776 and was living in Henry Co KY in the 1850 census. I have no definite proof that Polly Morgan Day was the daughter of William and Rachel. An article in the Brazil Times, Brazil IN called "Descendants of Three Pioneer Families to Reunion Sunday" written by O.O. Ringo says that William Morgan m Rachel Phemster and they had children: Preston, Henry, Newton, Russel, Thomas, Martha, Rachel and Mary. Another researcher had said there was a Mary in the family. I had no info on her at all until Ron Rhodes, a descendant of Polly, wrote of his descendancy from William & Rachel. Since Polly was a nickname for Mary, this could be the Mary of which O.O. Ringo writes but I have no proof. Have you corresponded with Ron Rhodes about Polly Day's family?

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4AB.2ACI/329.1.1 Message Board Post: William Morgan is indeed identified as the father of Polly Morgan in the marriage record of Polly and Samuel in Clark County. However, in reading the deed records of Clark County, the William Morgan who is living there at the time, had a wife named Phoebe, and a mother, Elizabeth, who appears to be the widow of John Morgan. I have not been able to confirm that the William who married Rachel Feamster 01 Mar 1796 in Clark County is indeed the father of Polly Morgan? Can you help? Thank you.
