Where does your Pryor come in? I have Pryor's in Henry County from about 1790-1813, and they also on married Roberts' and they all moving to Pope Co. IL they and were neighbors. My John A. Pryor came from VA to Louisville area 1790, and went ot Henry County. His children married Tanner, Stevens, Willis, Newman, Tyson, and West families. Our Jacob was born in 1844 and came to Kentucky about 1850 with brother, John, and his mother and stepfather, we believe, names unknown. John and Jacob both were in the Civil War and fought on the Union side from Kentucky. Their families grew up in Kentucky. The 1870 Henry County, Kentucky Atlas showed they were from Hesse, Germany. If you think any of this could match up to your family, I will be glad to share our information.

My ggg grandfather had a son Jacob Heilenman (I think). I don't have any information about him, but that he was the child of John F. Heilenman(b. 9/11/1811; d. 12/10/1870) and Mary Street(b. 5/3/1815; d. 2/24/1892). Jacob's siblings are: Claude Lorraine Heilenman, Sr.; John Frederick Heilenman; Alphins (spelled many ways) Conrad Heilenman; Elizabeth Heilenman; Abram Heilenman; Charles Heilenman; Sarah Heilenman; George Michal Heilenman; and Rosena Shaw Heilenman. Let me know if we have the same 'Jacob'. I have noticed that my family's last name has been altered through time. Perhaps if we aren't related through this part of the family...I'm sure that we're related through their ancetors in Germany.

Of course, you can always go through Frankfort the old fashioned way to get them but it takes a little time. I use the following link and order mine directly online and I have them a week later: http://www.vitalchek.com/ They are inexpensive and so easy to use, and you can get them from any state in the country. You will have to know a little information before you order one, but that info is pretty basic stuff if you already know a little about the person. Just a suggestion for those that may need it.
