I have so far - however I feel there is a connection to be found! In 1880 I had several ancestors in FRANKLINTON, HENRY CO. - BRAINS, ROBERTS, SHUCK - 1880 census of PATSY SHUCK ROBERTS (w) age 46, Peter age 21, Henry age 19, Jasper N. age 16 and Hannah Roberts (mother in law) age 84. The neighbors to this family were SUSAN SHUCK (w) age 29, John age 21 (step-son), Mary age 14 (step), Sarah E 9, Nancy J 7, Georgian 3 and NANCY SHUCK (sisterinlaw) age 44. Patsy Shuck was married to a Hiram Roberts. Their son Henry married twice - one of these spouses was Mary Brain Bright - daughter of David Brain & Lucy J Dyke. Let me know if looking further you find more Shuck - Roberts connections.

This year there will be a Librarians' Pre-Conference at NGS GENTECH on Thursday, January 22, 2004 which will feature talks by Cyndi Howells, Ruth Ann Hager and Matt Helm. Details of this special Pre-Conference are at: www.slcl.lib.mo.us/slcl/sc/gentech04/precon-schedule.htm.
