    3. There were quite a few words in this letter that I could not make out, but have decided to send it anyway. If anyone has any ideas what the words might be, please let me know. I am not positive that I have spelled the name of the writter correctly either. Thank you, Sue B. Helm To: Thomas Towles, esq Counsellor at Law Henderson, Kenty Phila. June 6, 1826 Dear Sir, I received on the 23d your letter of the 5th March last, covering inv(?) drafts one for 500$ and another for $115. In your letter, you stated that you would yourself forward the $100 coming from Lockett & Wilson, in case delay till winter was objected to. To this I promptly replied that the arrangenent was objected to and that your [remission?] of the $100 at once would be greatfully acknowledged but I have not since heard from you. In your letter you also stated that you would "by the next mail forward the full statement requested, with the 2d bill for 500$ but I have not received any letter since. It is now nearly eight years since I had the pleasure to see you, and to ask your amt in this business; I trust, therefore, that you will not think it unreasonable that I should [want?] your positive attention to closing it, especially when you consider that the heirs of Asbury have been much more urgent with me that I have presumed to be with you: one of the heirs is dead: I ______ ____ ___ to forward a copy of the ________ ______ existant by the heirs, so that I may prepare the requsite receipts for you, but I can do nothing until __ the money __ received & the statement promised ________ I p______ly entreat you to enable me to ____ _____ ___ _____: you will by doing so greatly oblige Yrs respectfully, W. G. Deram
