Hi Folks, Time to try this one once again..... I am looking for information on Martha GRIFFIN, b. ~1824/5, married Nathaniel HART, 10 Apr 1845, and is found as a widow with a 4 yr old daughter, Sarah HART, living with her mother (?), Mary GRIFFIN, and brother (?) William GRIFFIN in the 1850 Henderson Co., KY Census. DISTRICT 1 Henderson Co. Is that supposed to be 'Guardian for *Sarah* Hart' instead of *Susan Hart*? It seems Martha had some dealings with the McFarlands--sold some land to Robert McFarland (who is listed as a physician in the 1850 census and a farmer here) after first husband Nathaniel died, before marrying Luther WELLS--they were neighbors around 1850. DATE SURNAME GRANTOR GRANTEES KOJ REC. 1850 HART MARTHA R.M. MC FARLAND DEED N/129 40 A ON GREEN RIVER Anyone researching these names? It appears Mary *may* have been from Virginia, according to 1860 census--any Griffin lines that went from VA to Henderson Co. KY? Any information on Sarah (A. or M.) HART and what became of her? Any clues welcome! Regards, Terri McDonald Hauk motfot@tdl.com
