    2. In my research, I came across the following note. Is anyone familiar with this source, or know what the "Register" might be? "A village known as 'Red Banks' was established near the site of Henderson as early as 1784. Apparently a list of the inhabitants of Red Banks as of November 1792 appeared on a petition for relief and request for appointment of magistrate for the community, addressed to Governor Shelby [File Box No. 1, Archives Department, Historical Society, published in the Register in May 1927].
