JAMES A. "JIM" DEMOSS James A. "Jim" DeMoss, 49, Sturgis, died at 6:03 pm Wednesday at Union County Methodist Hospital in Morganfield. A coal miner and a member of Grangertown Baptist Church in Sturgis, he was an avid fisherman and hunter and won many awards for his efforts in these sports. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Anna Owens DeMoss; one daughter, Maria Troutman of Buffalo Gap, TX; one son, Mark Allen of Blackford; his mother, Sarah DeMoss of Sturgis; and four grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at Grangertown Baptist Church in Sturgis. The Revs. Don Collins and Joe Kitchens officiated. Burial was in the Grangertown Cemetery in Sturgis.
