I think there are some misconceptions being posted. The material in the museum is not in danger. One part of the building is in very bad shape and that is the reason the entire building was condemned. The material in the museum was donated to the Historical Society and belongs to the society. The museum is now closed, but when it was open, it was maintained by only 2 members of the historical society. Perhaps we should all hang our heads that no help was offered then. The society has applied for a grant to obtain the old officers' club on old Camp Breckenridge. They are waiting to hear if it has been approved. If you support the society obtaining the old officers' club, I would suggest you contact the Union Co Historical Society, 5 Congress, Morganfield, KY 42437 and ask how you can help.
