    3. Actually everything I have said about the museum and the historical society came from the committee. The address that is listed at the end Ms. Jerome's email is Larry Strehle's address and I spoke to Mr. Strehle on the telephone just the other day AND the fate of the EVERYTHING inside the OLD museum is UNKNOWN. It CAN NOT be moved from the old and rotting building. Until another site is found to move it too. It was also according to Mr. Shtehle that the Murals and Painting's ARE in danger of being bought and removed from the building, and then taken Canada. Not everything IN the old museum belongs to the society either. According to the ladies at the Union County Library, They have loaned out ALL the Newspaper abstracts to them And they are still in the building. I have TRYED to contact EVERYONE on the committee of the Union County Historical Society as well as the Judge Executive of Union County. I have only been able to contact 2 committee member's. And according to both ONLY the two have individuals have access to the contents. I only began my interest in Genealogy in July of 1997. And at that time knew nothing about the HIstorical Society but I DID try to volunteer when I found out about it. And everytime I called the phone number's listed on the door of the museum I never got an answer or a call back when I left a message on the machine until October, when it was too late! The museum had been condemned by then. In the last 2 weeks I have tryed to find out what I can do to help, I have tryed to contact Mr. Girten and see if he actually planned to sell the paintings to the business from Canada and I can not get an answer or a reply when i leave a message. I have also spoken to Paul Cassidy, The Planning commisioner, at the city building and he told me that everything is up in the air until they find out if they can get the money for the Old Officer's Club. And Mr. Girten is NOT under any obligation to "hold" the building for the historical society. Melissa Brenda Jerome wrote: > > I think there are some misconceptions being posted.
